Top 10 Trends for Spring/Summer 2012

This week I really enjoyed stylist magazine which is a free weekly fashion/travel/beauty magazine handed out during rush hour at every underground station in London…

What caught my eye the most was there catwalk report from the previous fashion week i’m guessing, they had 23 trends, however ones I really enjoyed and had an idea that they would be the ‘new in thing’ came up to 10. So I thought i’d share them with me.

1. Ice cream colours (which in other words is pastel colours, Both British and Italian Vogue really showed off pastel colours which I really enjoyed)

2. Up the volume ( which is really in my eyes flared skirts with a simple shirt, making the main object and eye catcher the skirt)

3. The life aquatic (Ocean, watery and different shades of blues, creating a blend of waves, of course that would be based on the blends of fabric one would use)

4. Flower power (This trend almost never seems to get old, almost every year flowers are always somehow in the trend chart weather be three dimensional or simple floral prints)

5. Crystal Maze ( I was abit unsure of this one as I thought crystals? seemed like a disco to me, but I realised a simple garment can have a few rhinestones embroidered on, or a neck collar of a few gems)

6. Going Tribal - (I think tribal prints was in as a few designers contained it in there catwalk i.e Burberry Prorsum, which by the way I thought was really good)

7. Top Of The Crops - (Crop tops are slowly creeping back in, I for one will NOT be wearing any this summer lol, to keep it lookin in tact it’s best to wear it with a high waisted pencil skirt, thats if your tummy is nice and flat =). )

8. Feather Friends (Yay or nay? I say nay again not something I would wear especially with a t-shirt which ‘some’ designers have done on the catwalk the closet to feathers I would do is a hat in my hair with 1-2 single feathers )

9. All In The Pleats - (Pleats are groovy, quite vintage in fact. Would I wear pleats? Yes only in a skirt or possibly a dress only. Lightweight fabrics are the best seeing as they won’t bulk.)

10. In Print - (Last but not least prints, prints, prints, every lady’s favourite, weather be animal prints, floral prints, fruit prints (Like Dolce & Gabbana’s SS 2012 collection) it will never get old, I personally love prints, as I feel it really brings out the beauty of a simple dress, or even skirt)
