So I just took a brief glimpse of Valentino’s Haute Couture SS 2012 collection. By brief I literally clicked next, next within second.
What word can I use to describe his collection. Hmmmmm I think it’s antique Victorian look. I don’t like it I actually love it. It’s very different compared to what most designers do.
Colours are nice and fresh: white, ivory, cream, beige, and lots and lots of foral prints, which is one of my favourite things in a garment especially during Spring/Summer season.
Materials: taffeta, organza, lace, silk, cotton, crystals, gold thread, wool, chiffon, jet, tulle, guipure,cracks, silver wire, (As usual the bold text are the ones I have never heard of before, so google is my friend will check it out for my own personal reference)
Forms: The form of the silhouettes is vey flarly, I guess based on the fabric they used.
Accessories: Hand printed bags I love, slippers/heals I love even more.
I give this collection a soild 9/10
